Tom Fereday

Tom Fereday is an industrial designer guided by the principle of honest design, creating products that celebrate materials, manufacturing, and thoughtful construction. He believes in designing from the inside out, where form is shaped by function, and every detail has purpose.

Fascinated by the tension between natural materials and contemporary manufacturing, Tom aims to create enduring objects that connect people to their environment through tactile finishes and quiet innovation. Born in Australia and raised in England, he studied at the Wimbledon School of Art before completing an honours degree in Industrial Design at the University of Technology Sydney. Since founding his studio in 2012, Tom has worked across Europe and Australia, collaborating with leading brands such as Herman Miller, Alessi, and Stellar Works. His work has been widely exhibited and published, reflecting a holistic approach that merges craftsmanship, technical precision, and minimalist aesthetics into meaningful, lasting design.
