NAU at World Expo 2025 Osaka

With just one month left of World Expo 2025 Osaka, the Australia Pavilion continues to shine as a vibrant showcase of culture, innovation, and design. Among the highlights of the past five months was a gala lunch hosted by NAU Design, celebrating Australian creativity with friends from Japan’s design community.

A Gala To Remember

NAU Design welcomed Japanese manufacturing partners, leading architects, interior designers, and other representatives from Japan’s design scene to a special luncheon. Guests were greeted by Commissioner General Nancy Gordon and heard from Richard Munao, NAU’s Founder and Managing Director, who shared insights into the story and vision behind NAU’s Australian-designed furniture and lighting.

Adding to the occasion, visiting Tasmanian chef Andre Kropp prepared a bespoke menu, bringing a taste of Australia to Osaka. The event combined exceptional design, cuisine, and hospitality – a true celebration of collaboration and creativity.

Showcasing Australian Design

While the food and company were unforgettable, the NAU furniture and lighting throughout the Australia Pavilion were the real stars. Each piece reflects timeless, functional, and beautifully crafted Australian design, enhancing the Pavilion experience for every visitor.

Sustainability in Action

Our commitment to sustainability doesn’t end with Expo. Through the Cultivated program, all furniture and lighting will be collected at the end of the event and repurposed sustainably, contributing to the circular economy. This ensures that the impact of NAU’s designs extends far beyond their time at the Pavilion.

One Month to Go

With just one month left of World Expo 2025 Osaka, the countdown is on! Don’t miss your chance to experience the best of Australian design, culture, and innovation at the Australia Pavilion.
